Junos Pulse addresses the need of requiring multiple clients to access services across the network. Although many features are similar to Network Connect, Junos Pulse 3.0 does not currently offer feature parity with Network Connect the Junos Pulse client is available for Widows and Mac platforms only. Junos Pulse also provides Network Layer access for remote users. ![]() Once the client software is installed, you can launch a connection to log in from the CLI without having to open a browser. VPN Tunneling is provisioned using either Network Connect or Junos Pulse. ![]() The user's experience is that of a tunneled remote connection that is, the user accesses network resources as if the user were directly connected to them instead of requiring the browser front-end interface. All the functionality necessary for the connection is automatically enabled during the user login process. This method provides full network availability in a similar fashion to the IPsec remote client VPN connection, without the need to manually install access software on the client machines. ![]() The third level of access, Network Layer access, provides full client access through the use of the VPN Tunneling feature to the Junos SA.
